Greg Runyon, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Guaranteed Rate Affinity

After graduating from Southern Illinois University, Greg Runyon sought out a relationship-centered career that would allow him to assist people in achieving their long-term goals. Starting off as an intern with a large nationwide bank while attending college and later becoming a full-time loan originator post graduation, he now boasts 16 years of success in mortgage lending.

Though he’s licensed in multiple states, Runyon serves all of Arizona with solid preparation and execution. “I am known for being a great communicator who provides 24/7 availability. I go above and beyond to ensure clients and referral partners receive the best service possible,” he says. Working efficiently is pivotal to Runyon’s success with his clients, who largely come to him through his professional network, repeat business and client referrals. Not only having experience on the sales side, but also on the fulfillment side of the business, he understands the mortgage process from start to finish allowing for a quick and smooth closing.

“I think working with a lender, such as myself, who quarterbacks the loan process from day one to closing, is key. The communication is stronger, and my clients and industry partners will always only have one point of contact,” Runyon says. His personal investment in each client is a winning strategy, as he was recognized among the top 1% of mortgage originators in America by Mortgage Executive Magazine in both 2020 and 2021. A growth-minded professional, he regularly partners with those in his network to host sales seminars and brainstorm on business matters.

In his spare time, Runyon enjoys hiking and golfing. Despite his extensive experience, he still considers himself a student of the industry and continues to evolve and grow in his craft to better serve his clientele.
