Lending in all 50 states, Brett Winters approaches the mortgage industry with a “client for life” philosophy. He has experience with a wide range of products and loan types including rate buydowns, 12-month extended locks, and FHA/VA Loans; as well as portfolio and jumbo loans.

Winters has always been good with numbers, but the real reason he got into mortgage lending over 20 years ago was because of his mother, a top Realtor (now retired). While she taught him a lot about the industry, her most valuable lesson was how to treat people with kindness and empathy.

Above all other skills, Winters highlights his ability to truly listen to his clients’ needs. “No two customers are the same,” he says. “Listening to each person’s specific situation and finding the mortgage option that’s right for them is essential. People don’t want to be sold something or talked at, they just want to be heard and understood.”

Winters’ clients and referral partners know that he’s the guy who will respond at all hours of the day. “Real estate negotiations typically happen evenings and weekends,” he points out. “I make it a priority to be available when needed.”

Outside of work, Winters is a husband and father of two active little boys. He loves taking advantage of the year-round outdoor activities Phoenix has to offer.
