Local builders honored at 38th annual MAME Awards

The Home Builders Association of Central Arizona (HBACA) recognized Phoenix builders, developers and construction professionals at the 38th annual Major Achievements in Merchandising Excellence (MAME) Awards. Winners were honored at a ceremony on April 6.

Among the big winners were Camelot Homes, which won Builder of the Year, up to 250 closings, and Shea Homes, which won Builder of the Year, over 250 closings. Finalists included Rosewood Homes, D.R. Horton Phoenix West, Landsea Homes, Taylor Morrison and Tri Pointe Homes.

“We have intentionally built a dream team of professionals who are focused on delivering a high-end experience and uniquely designed homes in special locations that are truly unlike any other residences out there,” Julie Hancock, managing director of Camelot Homes, said in a press release. “What a thrill to be announced as Builder of the Year. It’s something everyone at our company is extremely proud of.”

Also among the winners were D.R. Horton Phoenix West, which won Attached Community of the Year for Arabella, and Rosewood Homes, which won Detached Community of the Year for Rosewood Highlands at Storyrock.

Furthermore, Toll Brothers won Luxury Community of the Year for Sereno Canyon, while Tri Pointe Homes won Master-Planned Community of the Year for Waterston. Finalists for MPC of the Year were Legado by Taylor Morrison, Citrus Park by Landsea Homes and Radiance at Superstition Vistas by D.R. Horton Phoenix East.
