Nine brokerages represented at inaugural Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate charity tennis tournament

by Patrick Regan

Representatives from nine brokerages competed in the inaugural Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate charity tennis tournament.

Buzz Carr, managing broker of the North Scottsdale branch of Walt Danley Christie’s International, spearheaded the event.

“The inaugural Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate tennis tournament was a tremendous success,” Carr said in a news release. “Our goal was to bring together our real estate community to collectively raise funds on the court for deserving local charities. The main takeaway from everyone involved was the desire to come back next year, bigger and better.”

The two winning doubles teams chose to donate proceeds from the fundraiser to the HomeSmart Agent Relief Fund and the AZ Special Olympics.

In addition to Walt Danley Christie’s International, event partners included Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Old Republic Title Agency and Super Home Warranty.

The United States Tennis Association provided onsite support and assistance.
