Christian Hernandez is now a business development officer and housing and community development advocate with HomePlus | Arizona IDA. Hernandez was previously vice president of mortgage lending with Rate in Scottsdale.

Hernandez has nearly two decades of experience in the mortgage lending industry. In her new role, she’ll expand her work beyond loan origination.

“What excites me most about this new chapter is the opportunity to help create broader access to homeownership resources through education, outreach and strategic partnerships, particularly within underserved and bilingual communities throughout the state,” Hernandez told Phoenix Agent. “This transition represents a meaningful evolution in my career from direct loan origination into a more mission-driven role centered around housing accessibility, education and statewide impact.”
