Problem-solving comes naturally to Sergio Rodriguez. Educated as an engineer but drawn to lending and finance, he transitioned to a loan officer position after starting his career in banking.
“I am skilled at researching, and I like to find out why things work the way they work,” Rodriguez explains. “In the mortgage industry, that is crucial because of the guideline nature of the business.” Today, one of his major goals is to help clients build wealth through homeownership.
Rodriguez, a bilingual (English and Spanish) mortgage professional, became familiar with and interested in lending as a young man while translating financial documents for his Spanish-speaking parents. Due to these early experiences, his eventual career path felt like a true and natural calling.
Rodriguez’s clients describe him as easy to work with, caring, communicative and tenacious. He works hard to be a subject matter expert, believing that discipline and a process-driven approach ensure success and growth. His daily motivation comes from his 10-person bilingual team, including his faith that the team’s collective efforts will help more people in Arizona’s West Valley.
The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) has named Rodriguez among its top 250 loan agents each year since 2018, and he serves as president of NAHREP’s Greater Phoenix chapter.
In his free time, Rodriguez enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling, even if it’s just a short road trip. However, if it’s football season, he’s sure to be watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
