Before real estate, Butch Leiber had many jobs: short-order cook, medical writer, medical equipment salesman, computer programmer and software trainer. But he never had a career until he entered real estate 22 years ago.
“It was all divine intervention,” Leiber says. “I was having dinner with my partner at the time, and we were discussing the possibility of getting into real estate.” He promised to contact an agent he knew the next day. “We walked to the movie theater, and standing in front of us was my friend, the agent.” Over coffee the next day she sold him on becoming a Realtor, and three weeks later, Leiber became a full-time agent.
The owner and broker of Rev Residential Brokerage, Leiber heads a team of six agents representing buyers and sellers of all price points in Central and North Central Phoenix, Chandler and Mesa. His ability to listen, pay attention to inferences, educate clients and ask the right questions has been instrumental to his success.
Named the 2023 Realtor of the Year by Phoenix Realtors, he served as the association’s 2023 president and is proud to have participated on several committees and task forces for the state association. Leiber was part of the team that helped create the new Fair Housing Advisory.
“I try to make things fun and keep it loose,” he says. “But I am also results driven and make sure my clients are educated about their options throughout the process.”
The best compliment a client can give him is to say, “I trust you.”
Along with the brokerage, Leiber owns Draw a Door Business Coaching and Draw a Door School of Real Estate. Inspiration for the name came from a scene in the movie “Beetlejuice,” when the ghosts draw a door that opens to a new world. “My life, and my business, is about opening doors where it appears no opportunity exists,” he shares.
