REMAX: Phoenix home sales gain ground in July

The pace of Phoenix home sales rose 1.9% year over year in July to 5,842 transactions, according to the latest REMAX National Housing Report. 

Month over month, sales were up 11.3%. 

Nationally, home sales in the 46 metro areas surveyed by REMAX rose 2.5% year over year and slipped 5.7% month over month. 

Nationwide, the number of homes for sale in July rose 2.8% month over month and 4.7% year over year, marking the 31st consecutive month of annual gains. Months’ supply of inventory rose to three, up from 2.7 in June and 2.9 2025. New listings slid 2.7% month over month and climbed 1.4% year over year. 

The national median sales price rose 3.4% year over year to $450,000 and was flat month over month. The average close-to-list-price ratio was 99%, the same as in June and July 2025.
