Commonwealth Land Title Phoenix NCS partnered with CLEAR to bring the nationwide airport identity verification technology to high-value real estate transactions.

With the partnership, Commonwealth hopes to allay concerns of fraudulent deeds or wire fraud, which can put properties and funds at risk in high-dollar transactions.

“Real estate transactions involve significant financial and personal stakes, making identity verification an increasingly important part of protecting the people and assets involved,” Tonya Lively, vice president of Commonwealth’s Arizona operations and escrow operations manager, said in a press release. “By bringing a technology people already recognize from airports into the real estate closing process, we are adding another layer of protection at a critical point in the transaction.”
