Tempe named second-best place to live in the U.S.

by Patrick Regan

Tempe is ranked No. 2 on Money Magazine’s recently published 2022 Best Places to Live list.

Communities on the list were ranked based on economic opportunities, quality of life, diversity and where the best futures lie.

Tempe has a population of 187,000 with a median household income of $66,800 and median home values of $472,000, according to the report.

“Tempe made our list for its active arts and culture scene, relative affordability and myriad employment opportunities in education, finance, health care and tech,” Money said.

Atlanta ranked No. 1, followed by Tempe; Kirkland, Washington; Raleigh, N.C.; and the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago.
