Scottsdale is the best place to find a job this year, according to a new study from WalletHub.
Comparing 180 United States cities, the finance site found Scottsdale to have the best job market in the country, based both on job availability and the city’s overall socioeconomic growth.
Scottsdale’s rank was boosted by its high median annual income and low unemployment rate, plus the 16th-most paid internships of any city.
In addition to the vibrant job market, the city itself is emerging as a hot spot: Scottsdale ranks among locales with the highest quality of life, best recreation opportunities and lowest violent crime rates. That indicates job seekers won’t just have an easy time finding employment in Scottsdale — they’ll want to stay and build careers.
Further down the list, Chandler ranked No. 14, followed by Gilbert at No. 28 and Tempe at No. 30.
