North Scottsdale’s Portico condo development nears completion

by Patrick Regan

North Scottsdale’s Portico luxury condominium community recently reached a milestone with the topping off of the development.

Portico, by Belgravia Group, is a key part of the One Scottsdale project, a 120-acre mixed-use development at Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road, bringing together residential, hotel, retail and restaurants to the area.

Portico has been sold out since April and first deliveries are planned for this fall. The project is expected to be fully finished in the spring.

Belgravia, based in Chicago, also recently received approval for its second North Scottsdale development, Atavia, bringing 88 luxury residences to the One Scottsdale project.

“Belgravia Group’s key stakeholders have wintered in Scottsdale for the last several years, and we are privileged to debut a community where homeowners can enjoy the best of the southwestern lifestyle that our team has fully embraced,” Elizabeth Brooks, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Belgravia Group, said in a news release. “Portico was our first Scottsdale development, and now with the announcement of Atavia, our team is happy to make Scottsdale our home away from home.”

Portico is a nine-building community with one- through four-bedroom floor plans and up to 2,678 square feet of indoor-outdoor space. Amenities include an outdoor pool and spa, clubhouse, fitness center and views of the McDowell Mountains. Homes were sold from the $600,000s to $2 million.

“It’s been such a remarkable process to see Portico transition from a passion project to a full-fledged community,” said Keith Mishkin, CEO and president of Cambridge Properties, which represents the project. “Even throughout an unusual housing market, Portico has outsold our most ambitious projections and timelines. We can’t wait to see what Belgravia Group does next in the area.”

Portico has been twice named Multi-Family Project of the Year by Phoenix Agent magazine and Multi-Family Project of the Year by The Scottsdale Progress.
