Paradise Valley is known as one of the priciest places to buy a home in Arizona — but did you know that the city has one of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country?
PropertyShark analyzed residential transactions between Jan. 1 and Oct. 20 to determine the 100 most expensive ZIP codes in the country this year. Paradise Valley was the only Arizona city to make the list.
That makes Paradise Valley (85253) the most expensive ZIP code in Arizona — and the No. 32 most expensive in the entire country. The desert locale has a median sales price of $2,790,000 so far in 2023. While that price is down 4% year over year, this year’s list represents Paradise Valley’s fifth consecutive year as one of the priciest ZIP codes in the country and its highest ranking to date.
The Paradise Valley ZIP wasn’t the only one with annual decreases in sales prices, though: Seventy out of 122 ZIP codes on the list (due to 18 ties) saw price drops this year.
The priciest ZIP code in the U.S. was Atherton (94027) in San Mateo County, California, where the median sales price is $8.3 million.
