Arizona REALTORS® once again supported the Arizona Housing Fund (AZHF) with a monetary contribution this year. This nonprofit funding source seeks to increase the number of supportive, low-income and working poor housing units in the state.

Arizona REALTORS® has donated over $57,000 to AZHF since its inception, including $15,000 scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023. The Realtor association has also set a goal of encouraging every buyer, seller and agent to donate $25 to AZHF at the close of escrow.

“Arizona REALTORS® is proud to once again support the Arizona Housing Fund, which we have done each year since its founding in 2019,” said President Eric Gibbs. “With the help of individual Realtors and their clients, the Fund has distributed $1.35 million in grants to Arizona nonprofits to build permanent supportive housing and reduce homelessness in Phoenix, Glendale, Chino Valley, Page and Flagstaff.”

AZHF’s most recent endeavors include $500,000 in grants for affordable housing projects in vulnerable Arizona communities. Awardees include Central Arizona Shelter Services, which received $100,000 for a 134-unit transitional/emergency housing complex for seniors in Phoenix; Housing for Hope, which received $150,000 for a 20-unit building for the formerly homeless in Page; Housing Solutions for Northern Arizona, which received $150,000 for 44 transitional housing units in Flagstaff; and Native American Connections, which received $100,000 for 48 units of permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless or disabled adults in Phoenix.
