Several Phoenix-area real estate firms made it into this year’s RealTrends 500 rankings of the top independently owned brokerages by total closed buyer and seller transaction sides and closed sales volume, with Scottsdale brokerage HomeSmart in Scottsdale ranking highest among local firms in both cases.
Nationally, Compass, Anywhere Advisors, HomeServices of America, eXp Realty and Douglas Elliman Realty LLC claimed the top five spots by volume, while eXp Realty, Anywhere Advisors, HomeServices, Compass and Hanna Holdings took top spots based on sides.
HomeSmart finished 2022 with 46,123 transactions and over $23 billion in sales, making it the No. 9 firm in the country by both sides and volume. The next-highest rated Phoenix-area firm was Realty ONE Group (Company-Owned Brokerages) in Chandler; the brokerage ranked at No. 15 by sides with 23,866 transactions and at No. 20 by volume with nearly $10.4 billion in sales.
Not far below were My Home Group Real Estate of Scottsdale, which ranked at No. 33 by volume and No. 30 by sides, and West USA Realty, Inc., which ranked at No. 19 by sides and No. 41 by volume.
Other Phoenix-area firms listed in the top 100 by transaction sides and volume were Jason Mitchell Real Estate and Realty Executives Phoenix and Yuma. Keller Williams Arizona Realty claimed the No. 99 spot by sides, while Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty came in at No. 46 by volume.
Additionally, North&Co., RE/MAX Professionals and RE/MAX Excalibur ranked among the top of RealTrends’ Nation’s Best list.
