After 25 years managing hotels and resorts, Ali Ozer wanted to shift his energy to becoming his own boss, so in 2008 he made the leap to real estate even though it was an incredibly tough time for the industry as a whole. “The years from 2008 to 2011 were a challenging time to launch a career in real estate,” he remembers, “but I am grateful for the challenges that shaped me.”
As a managing broker, Ozer’s clients are the Realtors who work out of his office. His focus is growing the office while supporting and developing the agents, tasks that he finds fun and rewarding. “I’ve met so many great agents and coached several to levels beyond what they originally expected,” he shares. “Several were honored this year with our company’s highest honors for sales production. I’m so proud of them.”
As a leader, Ozer describes his business style as evolving, saying, “Generally, I try to follow a stoic philosophy of not worrying about things that haven’t happened yet.” Appreciative of the culture of warmth and positivity he and his team have developed together, he is invested in his agents’ success and grateful for their contributions. He is also grateful to Coldwell Banker, saying the organization has been an important component to his career growth.
Ozer is very active in the community, focusing on volunteering within the arts community and serving as a board member for the Shemer Arts Center. Ozer also belongs to the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and the Asian Real Estate Association of America.
