Mattamy Homes acquired 70 homesites at the Del Rio Ranch master-planned community in Avondale. The $6.37 million deal was finalized on May 18.

The builder’s neighborhood, set to open next summer, will feature six floor plans — five single-story designs and one two-story design. Plans range from 1,580 square feet to 2,918 square feet with two- or three-car garages.

“Phoenix’s Southwest Valley continues to be one of the most in-demand areas for homebuyers, and this investment allows us to expand in a location that offers strong connectivity and everyday convenience,” Matthew Arneson, vice president of land acquisition and development for Mattamy’s Phoenix division, said in a press release. “This community builds on the momentum we’re seeing across our Southwest Valley portfolio, giving more buyers the opportunity to find a home that works for them, whether they’re buying their first home, need more space or are relocating to be closer to family.”

Del Rio Ranch is zoned to Littleton Elementary School District and Tolleson Union High School District. Community amenities include a walking trail with exercise stations, basketball and volleyball courts, open green space, tot lots/play areas and barbecue areas.
