The first half of 2025 brought a wave of moving activity across the nation. A new report from U-Haul identified the most common states of origin for do-it-yourself movers who relocated to Phoenix.

Topping the list were California, Texas, Colorado, Nevada and Washington, followed by Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, Illinois and Florida.

U-Haul identified Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City and Seattle as the top cities of origin for new Phoenix residents.

The main feeders within Arizona were Tucson, Prescott, Flagstaff, Lake Havasu City and Yuma.
