Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona Properties is partnering with nonprofit organization The Sunshine Kids to raise money for children suffering from childhood cancer. The brokerage will fundraise via a charity golf tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale.
“As we navigate this year, we are more focused than ever on helping families achieve their dreams. Part of doing that is helping the children in every family achieve their dreams as well,” said Troy Reierson, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada, Arizona and California Properties. “This is a moment for us to pause, reflect on our blessings and use this momentum to help make a difference and support a life-changing cause.”
The player fee is $150 and covers green fees and cart usage as well as a luncheon and after-party. Players are encouraged to bring cash for raffles and other prizes. Awards will be given out for first, second and third place finishes, in addition to other performance-related recognitions.
Organizations can sponsor holes for $500. Sponsors will be featured in a slideshow and flyer, and their company name or logo will be displayed on a banner at their hole.
One-hundred percent of tournament proceeds will go to The Sunshine Kids, which offers no-cost, year-round programs to childhood cancer victims in North America.
