Mattamy Homes purchased an 88-acre property in Queen Creek with plans to develop a community of up to 254 homes, the company announced in a news release.
The $23.45 million land buy is for a development known as The Quarters at Queen Creek, featuring a planned community of single-family homes. The property is located northwest of Gantzel Road and Combs Road in Queen Creek, Pinal County. Construction is expected to begin late this year with delivery in 2024.
The homes will be one or two stories with open floorplans, covered back patios and an option for 3-car front garages. The community will include a 1.8-acre park with picnic tables, play areas and sports courts, plus a 1.5-mile walking trail.
“Our entire team is thrilled about the prospects of offering so much choice to homebuyers looking for innovative designs and a well-planned community experience in the Phoenix valley,” Don Barrineau, president of Mattamy’s Phoenix Division, said in a news release. “Our latest acquisition in Queen Creek will be highly appealing to those looking for open, spacious floorplans, a wealth of outdoor amenities and a highly desirable location, joining our Pinnacle at San Tan Heights and Empire Pointe communities in the east valley, with more to come.”
Mattamy Homes is the largest privately-owned homebuilder in North America, with 40-plus years of history across the United States and Canada, the company said.
