Kenneth James Realty was acquired by The Brokery. The acquisition adds 50 agents to The Brokery’s Phoenix-area operations.

Kenneth James founder Karl Freund will transition to the role of director of agent development, while The Brokery will absorb the brokerage’s former office in Phoenix. That location will become The Brokery’s sixth in the area, joining locations in Arcadia, Biltmore, Scottsdale and North Central Phoenix.

“We have been looking to grow, but it has been an intentional process to find a brokerage that shares our culture and core values,” Tucker Blalock, co-founder of The Brokery, said in a press release. “When a mutual friend introduced us to Karl, we quickly recognized the synergies between Kenneth James Realty and The Brokery.”

Freund, who has over 25 years of industry experience, founded Kenneth James Realty in 2014.

“I’m excited to join The Brokery and implement our proven training program,” Freund said. “I’ve seen how this experiential approach builds the skills and confidence agents need to achieve long-term success.”

The Brokery co-founder Oleg Bortman added that the acquisition is a testament to the brokerage’s “relentlessly local” mantra — one he says is more important now than ever.

“We’re excited about the synergy, momentum and the opportunity to welcome new agents who want to grow with us,” Bortman said. “We see ourselves as a bold alternative to corporate, tech-driven brokerages — offering instead a highly personal, relationship-focused approach.”
