Tempe and Tucson both ranked among the top 100 cities in the U.S. for creatives and topped the ratings among Arizona communities, according to an analysis from Workamajig.
The project management software company assessed every city in the U.S. with a population over 100,000 people and measured them in various categories connected to creativity. Those include museums per capita, the number of jobs in industries such as marketing, arts and design, number of artists and musicians, plus film and music festivals per capita.
Tempe ranked No. 79 overall and Tucson was No. 88. Both led the state with eight museums apiece.
Scottsdale was No. 107, and Chandler, with its five music festivals, finished 126th. Glendale was No. 184 and Phoenix No. 198.
Atlanta was No. 1 overall, followed by Miami and Portland, Oregon.
